At the turn of the century, with a population of only 2,000, Windsor had four major teams competing for the beautiful Citizens trophy, proudly donated by the citizens of Windsor.

Note that the Goal Tender is the only player wearing shin guards and that he uses an ordinary stick. No player has gloves except Lawson who wears ordinary leather gauntlets. Padded gloves were just then becoming common (1904).
